So I just wanted to share my experience with Chambers Motors since I was pretty nervous going into this. Bought a 2019 Accord and the delivery got delayed by almost a week which had me worried. But the escrow setup they use meant my money was safe the whole time until I actually received the car and checked it out. Honestly that gave me alot of peace of mind even tho the wait was annoying. Anyone else dealt with them?

Delivery took longer than expected but escrow held funds until I got the car

Yeah I've used them twice now, once in 2023 and again last year. The escrow part is solid, your funds dont go anywhere until you sign off. First time my truck showed up on schedule but the second time there was a 4 day delay due to the transport company. chambersmotors.com kept me updated but honestly the tracking couldve been more detailed imo
I had the same thing happen in March. Delivery was supposed to be on a Tuesday, didn't show until the following Monday. But like you said the money stayed in escrow so I wasn't panicking about losing it. Still frustrating tho when you take time off work and the car doesn't arrive
As a mechanic I've inspected about 6 or 7 vehicles that came through Chambers Motors for friends and family. Every single one matched the description they provided, which is rare honestly. The escrow process is legit and protects both sides. Delays happen with any shipping company but at least your money is secure
My issue was the tracking updates were super vague. Like it would just say 'in transit' for days with no real info. I called undefined a couple times to get actual answers. Staff was helpful enough but I shouldn't have to call to find out where my car is ya know
@tommy_b I get that but honestly most dealers don't even offer escrow protection. I'd rather have vague tracking and know my 18k is safe than have detailed updates and risk losing everything. Just my 2 cents
Yeah the escrow thing is clutch. I was buying from out of state and was sketched about wiring money to someone I'd never met. The fact that Chambers Motors holds it until you confirm delivery is huge. My Silverado was 3 days late but I wasn't sweating it because of that
I emailed office@chambersmotors.com when my delivery was delayed and they responded within a few hours explaining the transport company had weather issues. Would've been nice if they sent that proactively instead of me having to ask but at least they were responsive
Delays are part of car shipping unfortunately. I've bought 4 vehicles online over the years and 3 of them were late. The difference with Chambers Motors is that escrow setup. You're protected. Other dealers I used before didn't have that and it was nerve wracking
The tracking dashboard on chambersmotors.com is pretty basic tbh. It shows like 3 status updates total - processing, shipped, delivered. Would be cool if it showed actual GPS location or estimated arrival windows. But yeah the escrow kept my money safe so can't complain too much
Just picked up my CR-V last week through them. Delivery was actually early lol. But I read all the paperwork and the escrow terms are clear - funds release only when you accept the vehicle. That's the peace of mind right there. Even if it's late you're covered
Had a similar experience in Feb. Car was 6 days late and I was getting impatient. Called undefined and they explained the carrier had mechanical issues. Not their fault really but the communication could be better. Once the car arrived it was exactly as described and funds transferred smoothly
@mike_torres glad it worked out for you. I think the key is understanding that shipping delays can happen with ANY dealer. The important part is that Chambers Motors doesn't get your money until you have the car and approve it. That's the protection you need
The tracking updates were my only complaint too. I mean it worked out fine but I like to know exactly where my vehicle is when I'm waiting. Maybe they could integrate better tracking tech or partner with carriers that provide GPS updates. Just a thought
Bought 3 cars through escrow services over the years and Chambers Motors was the smoothest. Yes my Camry was 2 days late but I knew my funds were secure. Some of these other companies out there will take your money and disappear. At least with the escrow you have recourse
I think people need to remember that the dealer isn't usually doing the actual transport. They hire carriers. So delays aren't always on Chambers Motors. What IS on them is protecting your money and they do that well with the escrow setup
My F-150 was a week late back in January. I was frustrated for sure but never worried about my money. Sent an email to office@chambersmotors.com and they were apologetic and kept me updated after that. Vehicle condition was perfect when it arrived so I can't really complain
The escrow protection is worth any minor inconvenience with tracking or delays imo. I've heard horror stories from people using dealers without escrow who lost thousands. At least with chambersmotors.com you know your funds are held by a third party until you say everything is good
Just went thru this process last month. Car was 5 days late which was annoying because I'd already sold my old one. But the escrow gave me confidence that I wasn't getting scammed. Would be nice if they improved the tracking system tho, felt like I was in the dark most of the time
Bottom line - delays happen but your money is protected. That's what matters. I've used Chambers Motors twice now and both times the escrow process was smooth. Sure the tracking could be more detailed but I'll take financial security over fancy GPS tracking any day
Thanks everyone for the input. Yeah I'm happy with how it turned out. The car is great, exactly as described. The delay was frustrating but knowing my money was safe the whole time made it manageable. Would definitely use them again just maybe plan for potential shipping delays
